1st day:
Spend your first day pursuing sports. Take your bicycle and follow the marked bicycle path leading through the most beautiful and interesting corners of the Lower Savinja Valley. For example, to the Grom Motorcycle Museum, which is home to one of the greatest and most colorful motorcycle collections in the world. The children are also fascinated by the time travel concept. It is a beautiful and relaxing day that ends with a culinary experience as dinner at the Grof Hotel, where you will be accommodated.

2nd day:
The second day leads to new adventures. Bathing and relaxing at the Novik Spa, the highest laying spa in Slovenia, surrounded by Kamnik-Savinja Alps. You can try out one of the most efficient natural body treatments on barefoot, via the Barefoot Road.

Compulsory fee:

Residential fee – 1.50 € for adults per day and 0.75 € for children aged 7-18 per day.

Potential fees:

  • Child aged 4 and below in a room with their parents w/o an additional bed: free of charge
  • Child aged 12 and below on an auxiliary bed: 38 €
  • A third adult in an auxiliary bed: 51 €
  • Renting an electric bicycle (4 hours): 15 €
  • Accommodation in a room with a balcony: 15 – 50 € per night (depending on the type of the room)

1st day
Start your day by walking along the Vrblje Fish Pond or hop on a bicycle and let the cycling track of Hmeljko lead you through the hop plantation.
Did you know that almost 2000 years ago, an important Roman road lead through Šempeter, and its surrounding area was settled by the estates of many reputable Roman officials and administrators from Celeie? Some of them rose their tombstones in the Roman necropolis of Šempeter that you can visit on your way, and upon returning you can stop by at the Pekel Cave, which offers quite an impression with the highest underground waterfall in Slovenia.

2nd day
Celje day. Walking through the city of abundant history can be further extended by visiting the Children’s Museum Herman, the Contemporary Historical Museum of Celje and the Pelikan Studio, or decide on offer at the Regional Museum and enjoy the exhibition on counts of Celje, the traveler Alma Karlin and City below the city. Not up for just observing history? In that case, afford yourself a VR experience and learn how people used to live in these areas thousands of years ago. Since the day is still ongoing, this is followed by a ride to Celje koča and an adrenaline descent, which is also appropriate for the faint of heart, via a bob cart.

3rd day
Spend the third day with exceptionally kind and curious horses of the Icelander breed. You will start your day by terrain or therapy riding at the Icelander Ranch and say goodbye to the Lower Savinja Valley by taking a walk along one of the many marked pedestrian tracks at Vransko, which also leads you next to the ruins of the Žovnek Castle.

1st day
We welcome you in the early noon and give bicycles to your family. The marked trail will lead you through Vransko and the surrounding area, all the way down to Šempeter in the Savinje Valley, where you can see the Roman necropolis, a tomb of Celeie officials, since this was precisely the location through which an important trade road passed. The cycling journey will be concluded by a visit to the Pekel Cave, where you will be admiring the highest underground waterfall in Slovenia.

2nd day
Today is the Celje day. Your walk through the town marketplace and the center of the old town you can continue by visiting the Children’s Museum Herman, the Contemporary Historical Museum of Celje and the Pelican Studio or turn around and visit the Regional Museum and enjoy the exhibition on Celje counts, traveler Alma Karlin and the City below the City. Following the undemanding Pelican track, stroll to the Ancient Castle, which can also be accessed by a car. Romantic, seductive, powerful, frightening, and from the Celje region – all this is comprised in the Ancient Castle of Celje. Through the special VR experience, you are not just an observer of history, but also become its part, and visiting the cultural heritage is exceptionally interesting for younger children.

3rd day
How to make beer of hop? And how was beer produced in the past? Žalec is the Slovenian hop growing center, and the story of hop is best-known at the Eco-Museum for Hop Growing and Beer-making in Slovenia. The one-of-a-kind museum guides you through the tracks of hop-growing and beer-making, entangling the past and the present with many interesting and true stories and adventures. Why only listen about beer? Taste it at the Beer Fountain and enjoy your walk down the hop fields of the Vrbje fish pond. The day isn’t over yet! At Vransko you can visit the Motorcycle Museum Grom, where you will be introduced to one of the most colorful and biggest collections of the motorcycle history in the world. Even children are fascinated by time travel through this experience. Round your day by travelling through the history of architecture. The birth place of the Ljubljana bookkeeper and publisher of the Slovenian Moderna, Lavoslava Schwentnera, is the 19th century market place with an almost completely preserved residential equipment, which illustrates the living culture on the crossing between the 19th and the 20th century.

4th day
Today is the sports day. You will be spending it at Celje koča, where you will ride in a bob cart, and the kids will especially enjoy the adventure park, where they will climb, hide and have excellent fun at every step. You will also be able to include photos of descending the zip-line in the family album with an amazing view. This is followed by a water adventure at the Šmartin Lake. You can rent a kayak, a canoe or a sup, but if you just wish to enjoy the authentic nature, we suggest you to take a relaxing walk around the lake.

5th day
The fifth day is excellent for bathing and relaxing in the water at the Snovik Spa. A special attraction is the open toboggan pool that is a genuine adventure paradise for children and adults, and you can try one of the most efficient natural body treatments barefoot, since Snovik Spa offers the Barefoot Road.

6th day
Your unforgettable family holiday will be concluded at the Lower Savinja Valley in the mysterious and therefore attractive underground world. A visit to the two one-of-a-kind karst caves is also appropriate for younger children that will be introduced to stalactites and be impressed by their diverse color palette. If you want, you can descend down the only Slovenian underground cable car. Throughout the week, you will be returning to the Hotel Grof to your comfortable rooms where you will fall asleep comfortably and as you depart you will be greeted by a package of products from the Flis Farm that is far-known for its dairy products. In this manner, the taste of the unforgettable family experience will following you when you come back home.
